Attention Chicago: Bowen’s Back!
• RAMP has learned that veteran Chicago radio executive Peter Bowen is back in action, as he “returns” to Entercom Chicago, this time as Director of Sports.
Bowen (left) was most recently VP/Market Manager of the Cumulus Chicago cluster until September 2017, but he’s probably best known for his 16 years with the former CBS Radio Chicago, serving as SVP/General Manager of WBBM-FM (B96) and WJMK and as VP/Director of Sales for the Chicago cluster. That was followed by a stint as SVP/Director of Sales for CBS Radio Los Angeles.
In a staff memo obtained by RAMP, Chad Feldman, VP/Director of Sales made it official, writing, “It was with great excitement that I announce the return of Peter Bowen to Entercom Chicago. It goes without saying, but having Peter back with our team is just another sign to the market that this is the best place in radio. I personally am excited to bring back someone who has mentored, coached and helped me grow throughout my career.”
Feldman continued, “Peter will be returning as the Director of Sports. Peter will oversee all sales as it relates to Play by Play and the Score. Peter’s first day will be May 14th but I am sure he will be around before then so if you see him please welcome him back.”
