Westwood One kicks off the summer season with two exclusive Memorial Day Weekend music specials — Get Out and Play, hosted by Grammy-winner Ed Sheeran, “celebrates the beginning of summer with four hours of great music, information on this summer’s hottest tours, plus talk about the beach, summer vacation spots and new box office releases.” Memorial Day Mania, hosted by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, “ignites the summer season with tour and summer music festival talk, new music coming out this summer, road trips, and more.” So there’s that.
Westwood One’s holiday music specials, with music’s biggest and brightest star hosts, have become a welcome tradition with hundreds of programmers, millions of listeners, and local advertisers. Stations can air Westwood One’s Get Out and Play and Memorial Day Mania Memorial Day Specials any time from 6am-midnight from Friday, May 26 through Monday, May 29.
