• Yesterday we told you Max Media Rhythmic Oldies KJHM (Jammin’ 101.5)/Denver had tapped market vet Kendall B to helm a brand new morning show, which launched yesterday.

To paraphrase the immortal Paul Harvey, here now is “the rest of the story” — Kendall B succeeds SLiM (pictured), who steps down from mornings on Jammin’, but still remains plenty busy with his other responsibilities as cluster Production Director for Max Media Denver and afternoon drive personality on Throwback sister KFCO (FLO 107.1). Hey, thanks for listening!

• We informally reported this news about 10 days ago when Jeff Pope and Marla Davies exited mornings on Alpha Media Hot AC KEZR (Mix 106)/San Jose, but hey, we just got the official press release announcing the Premiere-syndicated Brooke & Jubal made their South Bay debut yesterday morning on Mix 106.

Alpha Media VP of Content Ronnie Stanton commented, “It’s been a joy to watch the success story of Brooke & Jubal grow in multiple U.S. markets over the past couple of years, and it’s a genuine thrill to bring this world-class show to the Bay Area.” No less excited and/or thrilled at this announcement is Alpha Media San Jose Market Manager Lori Heeren, who remarked, “I’m excited to give both our listeners and our advertisers the amazing Brooke & Jubal show.”

• Jeff Pope (pictured here with his pal, Jax) joined KEZR in December 2013, following a 13-year run in mornings at iHeartMedia’s KGGI/Riverside. He was paired with 19-year KEZR vet Davies, who had previously co-hosted the morning show for 15 years with the late Bill Kelly.

Mr. Pope and Ms. Davies are now exploring their options and are available for meaningful conversations. Hit up Pope at thepopester@hotmail.com, and you may contact Marla Davies at MarlaDavies52@gmail.com.

• Syndicated Country program The Fitz Show has been cleared for takeoff in afternoon drive in Alaska and Texas on three Alaska Broadcast Communications (ABC) stations: KTKU (Taku 105)/Juneau, AK, KGTW (Gateway Country)/Ketchikan, AK and KBYB (Hot 101.7/99.3)/Texarkana.

“We are elated at The Fitz Show joining us in all three markets,” said Chuck Geiger, PD of the Juneau Radio Center. “I have often called Fitz ‘the Seacrest of Country,’ with more showbiz and energy.”
