Michaels On The Loose

• Cumulus has parted ways with Jay Michaels, who exits as PD of Top 40 WYRG (Energy 93.9) and Classic Hits WJJK/Indianapolis.

Michaels had been in the building since July 2012 when he named PD of then Hot AC WRWM. Before that he was doing mornings at Midwest Communications Top 40 WMGI (100.7 Mix FM)/Terre Haute, IN. Michaels’ earlier radio stops include KQMV (MOViN 92.5)/Seattle, WSTO (Hot 96) and WIKY/Evansville, IN and Metro Networks in Louisville.

RAMP caught up with Michaels, who told us, “I’ve had such an amazing time with Cumulus the last 7 years, and am forever grateful for the opportunities the company provided to me. With that said, I’m excited about the next chapter!”
