Cole Runs Up Thru WALK Ranks
• Connoisseur Media Long Island announces the promotion of David Cole to Programming Assistant at Hot AC WALK 97.5. Cole (left) currently does nights on WALK 97.5 and also serves as Continuity Director for the CMLI cluster. Cole joined the company five years ago as an intern and worked his way up through the ranks, from promotions to board-op/producer and now, Programming Assistant.
The announcement was made by Jim Condron, SVP Regional Strategy/Market Manager Long Island, who said, “It’s an honor and privilege to see David continue to grow with us — people of David’s caliber are few and far between.”
WALK PD Tommy Conway said, “Over the past few years David has shown great commitment to the WALK brand. Music knowledge and a strong work ethic are coming together to pave a bright programming future for him.” Patrick Shea, Director of Operations of Connoisseur Media (and the guy who originally hired Cole), stated, “David has been one of the superstars behind the scenes helping drive the amazing ratings success on WALK 97.5. It’s exciting to see him become a bigger part of the talented team at Connoisseur.”
Commenting on his sweet upgrade, Cole said, “I love walking into work every day. I’m excited to have my role expanded as Programming Assistant and I look forward to continue to learn and grow within the WALK family.”
