Rosenberg Spends Sunday With Sports

Sid Rosenberg, co-host of Bernie and Sid in the Morning on Cumulus News-Talk 77 WABC/New York just signed up for some weekend brand extension with the launch of Sid Sports Sunday on September 9. The new show will air Sundays (hence, the snappy name) from 8-10am ET, and will be simulcast on WABCRadio.com.

Chad Lopez, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Media New York, said, “Our listeners and our advertisers have been begging for Sid to contribute to New York’s explosive sports conversation with more regularity. Sid Sports Sunday will cover it all every week.” Craig Schwalb, PD of 77 WABC, commented, “Sid Sports Sunday is the perfect extension of the Bernie and Sid in the Morning show and will be an essential listen for the New York sports fan every week.”

Rosenberg has a deep background in sports — he began his career on The Drive, which started online at SportsLineUSA.com and was later syndicated to radio by SportsFan and Westwood One. He also co-hosted the NFL Today pre-game show on Westwood One for three seasons. Rosenberg later co-hosted The Sports Guys on WNEW-FM and middays on WFAN/New York. He also covered sports for Imus in the Morning through 2005. While at WFAN, he also hosted the New York Giants’ pre-game show for three seasons. Rosenberg said, “I’m so proud of the work we do daily on the Bernie and Sid in the Morning show. There is no better variety show in the country. But it is no secret that I wanted to get back to my roots and host a serious sports show. I want to thank Chad Lopez and Craig Schwalb for this wonderful opportunity.”
