Cage Upped To MD @ Mix 96.5/Houston
• Congrats to Jason Cage, afternoon personality on Entercom Hot AC KHMX (Mix 96.5)/Houston on his elevation to Music Director, effective immediately. And yes, despite his lofty new title, Cage will continue to drive Houston home weekday afternoons from 3-7pm CT.
In making the announcement, Sarah Frazier, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Houston said, “Jason has proven to be a very valuable contributor to the overall sound and feel of KHMX and has helped to lead culture here at Entercom Houston. We are excited to elevate him to the role of Music Director.”
Cage commented, “The opportunities for growth at Mix 96.5 have been fantastic. I’m honored for the trust bestowed upon me in this new position and I look forward to continuing the momentum at KHMX.”
Before joining Mix in June 2017, Cage was half of the Cage & Bex morning show on former CBS Radio Top 40 WZMP (96.5 AMP Radio)/Philadelphia, which in January 2017 flipped to AC as WTDY (Today’s 96.5). Before moving to Philly in February 2016, Cage spent five years doing nights at CBS Radio [Now Entercom] Top 40 WBBM-FM (B96)/Chicago, and from 2005-1011 he did nights, imaging, etc. at Cumulus Media’s KLAL (Alice 107.7)/Little Rock, AR.
