Parker Earns ‘MMR MD Stripes
• Congrats to Sara Parker, Music Coordinator at Beasley Active Rock WMMR/Philadelphia on her well deserved upgrade to the far more awesome and prestigious position of Music Director. In a staff memo, PD Bill Weston said of Ms. Parker, “She has done remarkable work in assisting [APD] Chuck Damico and me in all things music, digital, AOD… well, most everything. Sara, in a new, fulltime capacity, will expand her contributions to enhance ‘MMR’s programming, including reviewing new music for airplay consideration, artist and label relationships, assisting Chuck with special programming, scheduling and boosting our social and on-line content platforms.”
Parker has been at MMR since 2009, starting as an intern with the Preston & Steve morning show and working her way up to Music Coordinator in 2016. In addition to her newly enhanced programming responsibilities, Weston says Parker’s on-air profile will also continue to grow — as Producer of Jaxon‘s afternoon show along with her regular weekend airshifts and fill-in duties.
