Three Fighters, One Pistol
Foo Fighters member Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins and Pat Smear visited Cumulus Rocker KLOS/Los Angeles on Tuesday to pay their respects to punk rock pioneer Steve Jones, a former member of the Sex Pistols and the host of the station’s popular weekday show Jonesy’s Jukebox. The guys were on hand to help Jones celebrate the U.S. release of his memoir, Lonely Boy: Tales from A Sex Pistol, which is already a bestseller in the U.K.
Tuesday’s release coincides with the birth of punk rock and the 40th anniversary of the Sex Pistols’ 1977 platinum debut album, Never Mind the Bollocks. Jones will be on a nationwide press tour for the next two weeks, which includes an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers in New York and a signing at Book Soup in Los Angeles on January 28.
