Great Moments In Syndication
ReelWorld President Mike Thomas said, “We’ve been talking about fusing imaging and jingles for years. We finally did it! The end result is not only an amazing array of IDs, but also the creation of an entirely new imaging category that bridges the gap between jingles and sweepers. I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve created and can’t wait to hear Fuzion on the air across North America and around the world.” Fuzion is now available for syndication around the world. Snider said, “When I started doing this show in 1997, Grunge still had a death-grip on the airwaves and ‘heavy metal’ was a dirty word. I wondered if anybody would be interested in listening to a bunch of ‘old hair bands.’ One thousand shows later, and in our 20th year, I guess I didn’t need to wonder. ‘Hair metal,’ as it’s so dismissively called, is not only the soundtrack of a generation, but also the go-to music of whole new generations. It seems that the House of Hair and the bands and songs it represents brings back one very important, but sadly missing element to the music scene — F-U-N! If it ain’t metal… IT’S CRAP!” Ron Rivlin, SVP of Programming and Affiliate Relations, Sun Broadcast Group remarked, “We are thrilled to celebrate Dee’s 1,000th show. The House of Hair with Dee Snider will rule for another thousand shows!” Dee posted a special thank you message online for his many fans.
