Mark Phillips Joins LKCM Radio Group
• Dallas radio vet Mark Phillips has joined LKCM Radio Group as PD and afternoon personality for Country KTFW (92.1 Hank FM)/Glen Rose-Ft. Worth and Classic Country sibling KTWF (95.5 Hank FM)/Scotland-Wichita Falls, TX. He succeeds Chuck Reeves, who exits after two years.
Phillips (left) spent the past 13 years with Cumulus Country KPLX (99.5 The Wolf)/Dallas, serving as PD from 2008-2015 and more recently doing afternoon drive until his departure in December 2020. From 2000-2007 he was PD/mornings at Renda’s WWGR/Ft. Myers, FL.
In making the announcement of Phillips’ hire, Gerry Schlegel, President of LKCM said, “Mark brings years of successful experience in both major market and rural radio — an ideal combination for our unique position on the edge of the FWD market. Commenting on Chuck Reeves’ tenure, Schlegel said, “We appreciate Chuck’s contribution to HANK FM over the past two years and wish him all the best.” Reeves joined KTFW in July 2019, coming from the PD post at Iliad Media Group Country KQBL (101.9 The Bull)/Boise, ID. Reeves is a U.S. Air Force veteran who formerly programmed KSAM/Huntsville, TX until the move to Boise in March 2014. He previously programmed KHVL/Huntsville, AL, was APD/MD at KBUL/Reno, NV, and is a 2006 inductee into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
