Please Poke The Bear
Yesterday morning the citizens of Spokane, WA were loudly awakened by the roar of a Bear running wild on the radio — Mapleton Communications lit the fuse to launch 94.1 The Bear, a brand new Mainstream Rock station with a metro signal that is paired with sister 790 KJRB and plugged into the back of a translator.
94.1 The Bear came out of hibernation at 7am yesterday with the sound of Metallica’s “The Unforgiven” — the first of what is promised to be 10,000 songs in a row with no commercials. Spokane Station Manager Greg Tillotson will handle the local programming duties for The Bear, which will introduce a new airstaff later this year. Questions?
