HOT 97.5 & 103.9/Phoenix Heats Up
• Desert Valley Media Group has considerably brightened up the playlist at KMVA (HOT 97.5 & 103.9)/Phoenix, introducing a reimagined music presentation and a rebranding as “The NEW Rhythm of The Valley.”
The NEW HOT 97.5 & 103.9 was formally introduced at noon local time Friday, now sporting what we are told is a “locally-curated playlist focused on great uptempo songs from the ’80s, ’90s, early ’00s and today.” The relaunch comes on the heels of extensive research on how to better serve the local 35-54 community. The music has shifted to a more rhythmic, hit-focused brand, with an up-tempo presentation, featuring hits from Bruno Mars, Bobby Brown, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Katy Perry, Prince, Salt-N-Pepa, Rihanna, Lady Gaga… you get the idea.
Jeff Trumper, Pres. & CEO of Desert Valley Media Group, commented, “This is an exciting, up-tempo, song-driven presentation of songs that will be celebrated by listeners all over the Valley. HOT is designed to mirror Valley lifestyles and the musical tastes of listeners between the ages of 35-54. We are so very proud to bring this unique and exciting sound to the Phoenix area — The New HOT 97.5 & 103.9… Rhythm Of The Valley!” HOT PD Jared Marshall said, “The local community is at the core of the New Hot — the music, contesting, show hosts, everything! We’re excited to bring the Valley a brand that provides them the music and content they told us they love that fits their lifestyle.”
Desert Valley Media has worked closely with Steve Smith & Tim Richards of Smith Richards Collective as well as Ken Benson of P1 Media Group in designing and curating this station refresh. The New HOT 97.5 & 103.9, “Rhythm of The Valley” is now up and rolling through 5,000 songs commercial-free.
