Brennan & Kesneck Upped At CMG Tampa Bay
• Cox Media Group (CMG) Tampa has promoted two of its content leaders — John Brennan, Director of Branding & Programming for WHPT (102.5 The Bone) and Classic Rock WXGL (107.3 The Eagle), is promoted to Operations Director for all six Tampa Bay brands, and Jenna Kesneck, Director of Branding and Programming for Alternative duo 97X/Tampa and WXXJ (X106.5)/Jacksonville, has been awarded programming oversight of Soft AC WDUV (105.5 The Dove)/Tampa.
“John and Jenna are both proven leaders in Tampa with track records of building outstanding radio brands,” said Chris Eagan, VP of Audience and Operations for CMG. “I’m excited to watch them apply their creativity and tenaciously competitive attitudes to their new roles.”
Brennan joined CMG in 2004 and steadily worked his way up to Content Lead for WHPT in 2014, adding WXGL in 2019. “Tampa Bay is my home, and I get to work with the absolute BEST team in Tampa radio,” Brennan said. “I couldn’t be happier or prouder to lead this team and these amazing brands into the future.” Kesneck launched her career with CMG in 2011, working her way up from Account Manager to Promotions Manager, and later, APD. She was then promoted to 97X Content Lead in 2019 and has led the station to become one of the most successful and respected alternative stations in the country. “WDUV is a legendary station not just in Tampa Bay — but in the industry,” said Kesnick. “I couldn’t be more honored to lead this Marconi-winning brand & its team into the future.
