Remembering Jesus Garber
• We were deeply saddened yesterday to learn that beloved music industry veteran Jesus Garber, who had been bravely battling serious health issues for the past several years, passed away on Saturday at the age of 67.
Just before the holiday break we had shared the news that Garber had been diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure in 2020, which had adversely affected his ability to work, and therefore, his primary source of income was impacted. Garber had been hospitalized since last June and had survived several surgeries and medical complications. However, while Garber was being prepped for a kidney transplant, an undiagnosed case of pneumonia caused his heart to stop twice, and he suffered broken ribs from the CPR, putting him on a ventilator — and he had been in an acute care facility ever since.
Late last year friends of the Garber family established a GoFundMe account to help defray Jesus’ extensive medical costs, and donations will still be much needed to cover the cost of his funeral, remaining medical bills and living expenses for Jesus’ wife, Teresa and 16-year-old son, Atticus. Unfortunately, there was no life insurance policy to help. If you haven’t donated yet and if Jesus Garber impacted your life in any way, please help in any way that you can. If you have already donated and have a little extra, your generosity is deeply appreciated. Thank you, on behalf of the Garber family, for your love and support.
