Janetzy Awarded Middays At Y100/Miami

• iHeartMedia Top 40 WHYI (Y100)/Miami welcomes Janetzy Perera as its new midday personality, effective immediately.

The new gig marks a radio homecoming for Janetzy, who got her radio start in the Promotions department at iHeart Miami before going on to co-host mornings at CMG’s crosstown WFLC along with on-air positions at SBS’s WRMA & WXDJ.

Now back in the iHeart building, Janetzy reports to Y100 PD Taylor Jukes, who remarked, “Janetzy is thrilled to re-join radio, and her in-depth knowledge of the vibrant South Florida culture and energetic approach with listeners will be a great addition to our team!”

Janetzy said, “My Miami roots and Cuban background have driven my passion for engaging with others on and off air, while also becoming involved in the community I love. I can’t wait to join the team at my favorite radio station — Y100!”

Effective immediately, former Y100 midday talent Sami Jo transitions into what is described as “an exciting new on-air role with iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group.”
