Herman To Join B+C Hall Of Fame
• Veteran radio industry executive Scott Herman, Chair of the Broadcasters Foundation of America and former COO of CBS Radio, will be inducted into the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame, Class of 2024, on Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom.
Herman is the only radio executive to be inducted into the B+C Hall of Fame this year, and he will be joined by Broadcasters Foundation Board members Steve Lanzano, President & CEO of TVB, and Valari Dobson Staab, Chairman of NBCUniversal Local, as well as former Board member George Stephanopoulos, co-anchor, Good Morning America and anchor of This Week with George Stephanopoulos, ABC News.
Herman remarked, “I’m humbled to be in the company of some of the broadcast greats who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, and I’m proud to represent radio in the Class of 2024.”
The annual Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame ceremony pays tribute to the pioneers, innovators and stars of broadcast, cable, broadband and streaming television. Receiving the coveted Hall of Fame honor is more than the acknowledgement of a successful career — it’s entry into an exclusive community of honorees that have truly changed the paradigm of the industry.
A portion of the net proceeds from the Hall of Fame gala is donated to The Broadcasters Foundation. The Paley Center for Media is also a beneficiary.
