‘The Woody Show,’ Now Minus Renae Ravey
• RAMP has learned that Renae Ravey, a longtime fixture on The Woody Show, dating back years before the show entered syndication, has departed the show.
Ravey and host Jeff “Woody” Fife shared a lengthy radio history that stretches back to WKQX (Q101)/Chicago, KITS (Live 105)/San Francisco, and KPNT (105.7 The Point)/St. Louis. For the past decade The Woody Show has originated from its current flagship, iHeartMedia’s KYSR (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles, and entered national syndication with Premiere Networks in June 2017.
On Monday, The Woody Show‘s social media posted this statement from Ravey, which reads, “I know this is a tough day for long time fans of the show. It’s a tough time for me as well. I know everyone wants more information or ‘the truth.’ But for right now — all I will say — is that I will miss the Woody Show fans like crazy. 95% of you have been the kindest, most loyal friends a gal could have — and love you all — even the haters. I take comfort in 10 great years — and I wouldn’t give those up for anything. I promise that I am okay and this will end up being a good thing for me — ME LOVE ALWAYS — Ravey.”
