SummitMedia Ups Maurice Devoe To SVPP
• SummitMedia LLC announced that Maurice DeVoe has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Programming. His new focus will be overseeing and managing the programming strategy and operations for Summit’s Rhythmic Top 40, Urban, R&B, and Gospel stations, including 610AM WAGG, WBHK (98.7 Kiss FM) & WBHJ (95.7 Jamz)/Birmingham, AL; WJMZ (107.3 JAMZ), 99.5 Streetz (WJMZ-HD3), & WHZT (Hot 98.1)/Greenville, SC; WRKA (103.9 The Groove)/Louisville; WKHT (Hot 104.5)/Knoxville, TN; and KPHW (Power 104.3)/Honolulu, HI.
DeVoe joined SummitMedia in March 2020 as Operations Manager for the company’s Greenville, SC market. The following year, he was elevated to Summit’s Brand Content Leader for Rhythmic Top 40, Urban, R&B, and Gospel.
Devoe previously worked for iHeartMedia St. Louis as PD of Urban KATZ (100.3 The Beat), Urban AC Majic 103.7 (KATZ-HD2) and Urban Gospel KATZ-AM (Hallelujah 1600). He earlier spent 16 years with Cumulus Media, rising to Corporate PD for the company’s Urban and Rhythmic formats and PD of Urban AC KMJK (Magic 107.3)/Kansas City, and his career also includes a stint as APD/MD at WPGC/Washington, and PD posts at WPHI/Philadelphia, KCHZ (95.7 The Vibe)/Kansas City and KLIF (i93)/Dallas.
