Dave Randall Ready To Unplug
Randall currently works for Cumulus Oxnard-Ventura, where he does mornings on Classic Hits 103.3 KRUZ and afternoons on AC sibling 95.1 KBBY, but he’s probably best known for his 20-year run on Classic Hits KRTH (K-Earth 101)/Los Angeles.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Randall got his foot in the radio door at Cal State Long Beach University’s KSUL-FM and an internship at KNX/Los Angeles. He went on to work at KLON/Long Beach, KWLT & KKYY/San Diego, KCAQ (Q105)/Oxnard and K-Earth 101 before joining Cumulus Ventura in Sept. 2016.
Sommer Frisk, VP/Market Manager, Cumulus Ventura, said, “Dave Randall is one of the most professional and steadfast people I’ve ever worked with. Through every format shift, ratings book, and challenging moment — he showed up with grace, heart, and an unwavering commitment to doing the job right. He’s not just a great broadcaster — he’s a great man. And while we’ll miss his voice, we’ll miss his presence even more.”
OM Dave Daniels added, “D.R. is the consummate radio professional and has delivered day in and day out for our team. I’m grateful to have had the privilege to work alongside him and wish him nothing but a wonderful, relaxing retirement! It has been a pleasure.”
Randall remarked, “I’m humbled to have entertained over this medium. The true fruit of one’s work is in the response, years down the line, when people say they enjoyed listening. More than anything, it’s gratifying, and I am thankful for that.” Your best wishes can be shared with Randall at Daverandall2@gmail.com.
