Bertrand Named CEO Of Inrush

• Inrush Broadcast Services has named Rob Bertrand as the firm’s CEO. Bertrand (left) joined the Chicago-based Inrush as a partner in January of this year and has been integral in expanding its technical services footprint across the radio industry, while also helping to shape the way the company works.

It was concurrently announced that Inrush Founder Mike Dorris will become the firm’s Chief Operating Officer; partner Shaun Dolan will assume the role of SVP, Emerging Technologies; partner Brian Sapp is SVP, Client Success & Service Delivery; and partner Cameron Boswell leads field operations as SVP, Integration & Systems Engineering.

“It’s incredible how much we’ve grown over the past five years,” said Dorris. “We’re ready to be more intentional about how we work. It’s what we had in mind when we brought Rob aboard early this year. I’m thrilled that things have worked out so well and that our company is well-positioned to continue leading the growth of engineering services for the radio industry. We essentially started as a group of friends having a good time building studios, and that spirit is still what makes Inrush a great place to work. Now, building a leadership structure that preserves those values while sharpening our strategy is critical as our industry continues to shift. Our continuous growth means we are on the right path as a company. Formalizing our internal structure will help us ensure we can take care of our entire team and continue to meet our clients’ needs for years to come.”

Bertrand brings a wealth of experience, most recently as the technology head at American University’s WAMU/Washington, DC. Prior to his transition to public media, Bertrand was Chief Engineer for CBS Radio New York, and he started his career with Greater Media in New Jersey.

Bertrand noted, “From afar, I admired the reputation that Inrush forged over the past five years and, now on the inside, I continue to be amazed at the accomplishments of our group every day. Inrush has been quietly establishing itself as a leader in the radio industry, powered by some of the nicest and most committed human beings you’ll ever meet. I’ve loved being part of the team this past year. We have an incredibly smart, energetic crew that has such depth in so many different areas. I love how many stations we’ve been able to help at a time when engineering help is hard to come by. I’m honored that Mike trusts me to take the helm of the successful company he’s built alongside incredible teammates. I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with this particular group of people in this expanded capacity, at this particular moment in time.”
