Mornings, Post-Bert/Taste Of Country AM

• With the end of Westwood One’s The Bert Show last Friday, many of the show’s affiliates have already swung into action to secure replacement programming.

One of the most notable beneficiaries of this situation is The TJ Show, distributed by RadioCraft — as of Monday, Oct. 27, The TJ Show is now airing on the following Cumulus stations: Top 40 KQXY (Q94)/Beaumont, TXWSSX (95SX)/Charleston, SCWNMQ (Q103.1)/Columbus, MSWMGB (B95.1)/Macon, GA • Hot AC WQQO (Q105)/Toledo, OH • Top 40 WBHT (Hot 97.1)/Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA.

Meanwhile, Cumulus Top 40 WWCK (CK 105.5)/Flint, MI has elected to go with the Benztown-syndicated Hey Morton, based at Local Media San Diego’s XHTZ (Z90)/San Diego.

Digio Strategies’ Top 40 WKMX (106.7 KMX)/Dothan, AL is now running Compass Media Networks’ The Anna & Raven Show, based at Connoisseur Media Hot AC WEZN (Star 99.9)/Bridgeport, CT.

We expect further announcements shortly from former Bert Show affiliates.

• On a related note — we recently reported that Townsquare Media was discontinuing its Taste of Country Mornings, hosted by Matthew Wood and Nicole Taylor. In the wake of that cancellation, Townsquare has elected to divide the show’s now former affiliates between Premiere’s The Bobby Bones Show and Curt & Samm In The Morning, hosted by Curt St. John (center) and Samm Adams (right), based at Townsquare’s KWWK (Quick Country 96.5)/Rochester, MN.

The nine stations now running The Bobby Bones Show are: KEKB/Grand Junction, COKKXK (94.1 Kix Country)/Montrose, CO103.3 WJOD/Dubuque, IAKYYZ (Dakota Country 96.1)/Williston, ND105.1 KEAN/Abilene, TXKATP (101.9 The Bull)/Amarillo, TX97.5 KGKL/San Angelo, TXKWFS (102.3 The Bull)/Wichita Falls, TXKYSN (Kissin 97.7)/Wenatchee, WA.

Curt & Samm In The Morning is now playing on Townsquare’s KIIK (US 104.9)/Quad Cities IA-ILKRFO (Kat Kountry 105)/Faribault, MNKUSB (US 103.3)/Bismarck NDKQBR (Lonestar 99.5)/Lubbock, TXKNFM (Lonestar 92.3)/Midland-Odessa TXKDBL (92.9 The Bull)/Yakima, WAKCGY (Y95)/Laramie-Cheyenne, WY.
