Greenville Is Now ‘Big Buck Country’

Thinking quickly, Active Rock sister WTPT (93.3 The Planet) expands its library to welcome temporarily disaffected Classic Rock fans and will now feature more titles from legends like Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Queen, Tom Petty, etc., skillfully mixed with Active Rock mainstays like Metallica, AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Green Day. Easing listeners into the transition, former Classic Rock 101.1 midday talent The Stoneman will assume command of afternoon drive on 93.3 The Planet.
“I’m excited to give our listeners the best of both worlds, an exciting new home for Country fans with 101.1 Big Buck Country, and a stronger, more dynamic rock presence on 93.3 The Planet,” said Operations Manager Mark Hendrix, who will oversee both stations’ content strategy, talent, operations and branding. “We’re expanding our offerings while keeping the personalities and music our audience loves. This reflects our commitment to serving the Upstate with the best entertainment, talent and radio experience possible.”
The Planet’s revised weekday programming lineup is as follows — 6-10am: The Rise Guys Morning Show • 10am-3pm: Paige • 3-7pm: The Stoneman • 7-midnight: Diesel.
