• Longtime Miami radio pro UB Rodriguez is now a free agent as he exits Cox Media Group Miami, the place where he originally started his career in 2001. Since that time, Rodriguez has worked at WGCI/Chicago, KKDA (K104)/Dallas, and helped launch “The Beat” in San Francisco in 2003.
“During my time with CMG Miami, I had the opportunity to work across all four station brands in the cluster — Top 40 WFLC (Hits 97.3), AC WFEZ (Easy 93.1), Urban WEDR (99Jamz), and Urban AC WHQT (Hot 105) — something relatively uncommon within the operation,” Rodriguez tells RAMP. “My responsibilities included covering on-air shifts, news and traffic producing and reporting, operating syndicated morning programming, production, board op, and supporting daily programming needs across the cluster. Being trusted to contribute across every brand in the building gave me a uniquely broad role within the Miami market.”
