DFW’s Ticket Has World Cup Fever

• Cumulus Media’s KTCK (Sportsradio 96.7 & 1310 The Ticket)/Dallas will once again expand its long-running soccer program, The KickAround, into a nightly destination for fans during the FIFA World Cup 2026™, delivering 36 shows and 44 hours of original programming throughout the tournament, which runs from June 11 to July 19.

Longtime contributor and European soccer journalist Lars Sivertsen will join The KickAround in-studio for the duration of the World Cup coverage alongside the show’s longtime hosts, Andy Swift and Peter Welpton.

The roots of The KickAround trace back to the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil, when the program launched as a daily show on The Ticket. Its success led to The KickAround becoming a weekly program later that year, and the show has since returned in expanded daily World Cup form for the 2018, 2022, and now 2026 tournaments.

Jeff Catlin, Program Director of The Ticket, said, “This is our fourth year to cover World Soccer with expanded programming on The KickAround. Interest this year is at an all-time high with key tournament games being played in Dallas-Fort Worth. The KickAround will be a destination for Ticket listeners and both soccer fans and casuals.”
