New Jersey 101.5: Malloy Returns, EJ Elevated

• Nearly a year after his retirement as midday co-host on Townsquare Media Talk/Classic Hits WKXW (New Jersey 101.5)/Trenton, NJ, 32-year station veteran Dennis Malloy is making his triumphant return to his former daypart, reuniting with his longtime partner Judi Franco, starting Monday, July 13.

It was concurrently announced that Eric “EJ” Johnson, who famously programmed New Jersey 101.5 from 1999 to 2017 and returned last August as Malloy’s successor in middays, has been elevated to statewide Operations Manager, supporting Townsquare stations in Atlantic City, the Jersey Shore, and Princeton/Trenton. He will also handle some weekend music shifts and fill-in on talk shows.

Johnson has held leadership and on-air roles at major market stations, including Beasley Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK (until Jan. 2025) and Sports-Talk WPEN (97.5 The Fanatic)/Philadelphia. He also did middays on Classic Hits sister WROR/Boston. Earlier programming stops include the late WJBR/Wilmington, DE and WPLY (Y100)/Philly. Pictured, (l-r): Franco, Malloy, & Johnson

We are told to stay tuned for further announcements.
