Steve Borneman Named GM, WRNR/Annapolis

• Talk about your seamless transitions… longtime media executive, Steve Borneman has been named as the new General Manager of legendary rocker 93.5 WRNR (WYRE-AM/W228ER)/Annapolis, MD, effective Sept. 1.

Borneman is currently Pres./GM of Shamrock Communications’ Classic Rock WZBA (100.7 The Bay)/Baltimore, which, as we recently reported, is the process of being sold to K-Love, Inc., with the sale expected to close next month.

Borneman began his radio career as an Account Executive in Boston before embarking on a 20-year run with WPLJ & WABC/New York, the last six years as President & General Manager. He went on to serve as GM of Shamrock’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton group and Chief Operating Officer for Pamal Broadcasting before rejoining Shamrock in Jan. 2022.
