Pros In Motion: Dana Johnson
• Dana Johnson, a fixture at Audacy Country KFRG (K-Frog 95.1)/Riverside, CA dating back to 2007, has been named as the new morning co-host at iHeartMedia country WCOL/Columbus, OH. Johnson, who also serves as Director of Promotions and Live Events for KFRG and sister KSON/San Diego, will remain on-air in weekends at KFRG though the end of the year.
Interestingly, Johnson has been working remotely for the past two years, as her husband’s job had taken them initially to Fort Wayne, IN, and now, a further promotion has taken them to Columbus — where Johnson noted, “There is a big opportunity that opened up in radio in Columbus that I couldn’t pass up.”
Listen to her big announcement posted HERE. Yesterday, WCOL morning host Dan Zuko officially introduced Johnson as his new co-host, replacing Kayla Hanley, who left in August.
Johnson joined KFRG under CBS Radio in 2007 as a street team member and worked her way up to Cluster Promotions Manager. In 2016 she joined the syndicated Big Time with Whitney Allen, returning to KFRG in 2019 as Director of Promotions, and adding similar stripes for KSON in 2021.
