Your ’26 Behind The Mic Mentee!
• Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW) has selected Callie Luttman, morning host on Saga Hot AC WLRW (Mix 94.5)/Champaign, IL, as the recipient of its 2026 Behind the Mic Mentorship.
The year-long program is designed to support the professional growth of female on-air personalities through one-on-one mentorship with senior industry leaders in programming, talent development, audience growth and brand strategy. As the selected mentee, Luttman will also attend the 2027 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
Luttman brings a diverse background in on-air broadcasting, programming and community engagement to the program. Before taking over as solo morning host on Mix 94.5, she spent four years as the show’s co-host. She also hosts afternoon drive and oversees music programming on Urban AC sister 97.9 The Vibe (WLRW-HD2), and leads Focus, a weekly public affairs show airing across all seven Illini Media Group stations. Luttman is also actively involved in event planning, community outreach and local initiatives throughout the Champaign-Urbana area. She began her broadcasting career at Eastern Illinois University’s WEIU (Hit Mix 88.9) and Cromwell Radio Group.
“Callie represents the kind of talent this mentorship was created to support,” said Leslie Scott, MIW Board Member. “She’s already demonstrated tremendous initiative by taking on multiple on-air roles, programming responsibilities and meaningful community engagement. What stands out is her commitment to growing beyond the microphone while continuing to strengthen her connection with listeners. We’re excited to help her build on that foundation, expand her skills and take the next steps in her career.”
“I am beyond grateful to have been selected for this incredible opportunity,” said Luttman. “I’m motivated and ready to explore new areas of growth while learning from some incredible women in this industry. I truly appreciate this opportunity and can’t wait to get started!”
