Pros On The Loose: Scott Herrold

• Scott Herrold exits Hope Media Group after four years as his position as Chief of Content has been eliminated. Herrold, who will be wrapping his stint over the next three weeks, broke his news in a LinkedIn post that reads, in part, “I love this team and I’m walking away with a grateful heart and a whole lot of respect for some of the smartest leaders I’ve ever worked with.”

He added, “KSBJ (Houston) has become America’s most-listened-to Christian radio station. We’ve launched radio stations in New York City and Miami, helped WayFM achieve some of its strongest ratings in a decade, and more than doubled our streaming audiences.”

“I’m proud of the people and the strategy behind that growth. I’ve spent my career at the intersection of music, digital media, concert promotions, marketing, and purpose driven content. Along the way, I’ve hosted a top-five-rated morning radio show in Las Vegas, hosted a podcast, built CreativeCardio.com, led digital strategy and developed fundraising campaigns. It’s given me the opportunity to experience the music industry in a lot of impactful ways.”

In closing, Herrold said, “I love building things. I love people. I love taking a big idea, figuring out how to actually make it work, and watching a team bring it to life.” Looking ahead, Herrold can be contacted at Scott.Herrold@gmail.com.
