WTMJ/Milwaukee Seeks New Host
Scripps News-Talk-Sports monster WTMJ/Milwaukee has kicked off a planetwide search for a multi-platform radio star or team to lead its noon-3pm show every weekday. The ideal host(s) will be very knowledgeable and engaged on the LOCAL level, as well as conversant with national and world events.
As market icon Charlie Sykes prepares to retire at the end of the year, current noon-3pm host Jeff Wagner will take over Sykes’ 8:30am-noon timeslot, leaving the early afternoon spot available as a fresh slate for a great host or team. This opportunity is not limited to political talk, but should be events-driven, timely, relevant and entertaining — whether it’s a big local or national story or you’re talking Packers, Brewers or Bucks.
E.W. Scripps Radio is “Famous for Localism.” Qualified candidates are invited to apply for this EOE position (Ref# 12366), which is currently posted for your convenience at Scripps.com under the “Careers” tab. Once you do that, please your send materials and ratings successes to Eric Brooks, Director of Programming & News at Eric.Brooks@WTMJ.com.
