he season for radio pro Jim Hampton to offer up his annual handcrafted nostalgic holiday special, An Original Christmas to radio stations across North America. When updating the existing 12 hours of content for year’s show, Hampton said, “I decided to create some totally new hours. I couldn’t help myself. There was so much new feature and music material that I created another six hours, so now, An Original Christmas is available with 18 hours!
The program contains 240+ current and traditional holiday favorites, and every hour, your will hear some wonderfully produced, short vignettes that are nostalgic, funny and heartwarming, classic radio clips from the Golden Days of radio and interviews with Jose Feliciano, Clint Eastwood, Andy Williams, Michael Bublé, Kelly Clarkson, Andrea Bocelli and others, along with Christmas comedy vignettes, stories about Christmas customs around the world, trivia and delightful comments from kids.
Stations can program all 18 hours consecutively or schedule them individually, because each hour is designed to stand alone. The show works for most formats from AC to Oldies to News-Talk. In fact, News-Talk WJR/Detroit will be airing the entire show on Christmas Day.
