Alex Mac: 2 States, No Waiting

Alex Mac is now sporting two sizeable hats for a pair of iHeartMedia Alternative outlets in two states — he’s the newly named MD and afternoon personality for KDXA (ALT 106.3) Des Moines, IA and the evening entertainer for KLLT (ALT 104.9)/St. Louis, effective October 30. Mac arrives in Des Moines from iHeartMedia Richmond, where he most recently did nights on Alternative sibling WRXL (XL102). He began his career with iHeartMedia Richmond as a Promotions Assistant and is a graduate of University of Richmond.

As MD of ALT 106.3, Mac will assist in the day-to-day operations of the station and its music programming. He will report to Dustin Fletcher, Director of Alternative Rock Programming for the St. Louis Region (and the former PD of XL102) and Greg Chance, Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Des Moines. Chance said, “Passion and drive are just two of the qualities that Alex will bring to the table. He is very engaged and I look forward to working with him and driving ALT 106.3 in Des Moines and also ALT 104.9 in St. Louis.”
