Wichita yesterday presented the Wichita Police Foundation a check for $5,000 to help ensure local law enforcement officers receive the most up-to-date equipment, training and resources available and to address needs for new and replacement equipment.

The check was presented by Scripps Wichita VP/GM Beverlee Brannigan on behalf of the Scripps Wichita cluster — Country KFDI, Rock KICT (T-95), Classic Rock KFXJ (104.5 The Fox), Classic Country KFTI-AM and Spanish language KYQQ (Radio Lobo 106.5). On hand to accept the check was Wichita Chief of Police, Gordon Ramsay and Kevin Mears, Director of The Wichita Police Foundation.

“I’m proud that we can continue to support the Wichita Police Department through their foundation,” said Brannigan. “Law enforcement in 2017 relies heavily on technology and it is my pleasure to present this check to support technological and equipment upgrades for the department.”
