Major Changes At Star 94.1/Atlanta

UPDATED: RAMP has confirmed two major drivetime departures yesterday at Entercom Hot AC WSTR (Star 94.1)/Atlanta — morning co-host Jeff Dauler (left)and afternoon personality Mike Marino (right) have both exited — and we hear other major changes are coming as soon as tomorrow.

This afternoon, the very reliable Rodney Ho of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution broke the news of what looks to be Star’s revamped on-air line-up, including images of marketing materials distributed by the station. The short version: The former Jeff and Jenn morning show will be rebranded as Jenn and Friends and add several new cast members.

Ho also confirms the rumor that MD/midday personality Heather Branch is leaving; she will reportedly be replaced by Amanda Kelly, an assistant morning show producer and traffic reporter. Assuming the Star afternoon shift is major market vet Mike Kannon (WBTS/AtlantaOpen House Party, KVIL and KDMX/Dallas, WRDW/Philadelphia, etc.)

Dauler and Hobby originally worked together across the street on The Bert Show on Cumulus Top 40 WWWQ (Q99.7), and re-teamed in mornings on Star in February 2016. Marino joined Star in 2013 and added APD stripes in June 2017. Marino previously programmed SummitMedia Top 40 WHTI (Hot 100.9)/Richmond. Earlier stops include APD/afternoons at WZHT (Hot 98.1)/Greenville, SC and MD/afternoons at WBHT/Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Several hours ago, Dauler posted a message on his Facebook page that read, “The magic of gratitude is that allows one to find peace, clarity and positivity in any situation. I have so much to be incredibly grateful for, and I feel more at ease and trusting right now than I have in quite a long time.” In closing, Dauler said, “More later, but I wanted to check in and let you know that all is good.” Dauler can be contacted at jdauler@gmail.com, and you can easily access Mike Marino at MarinoRadio@gmail.com.
