Pradt Awarded Middays On 93Q/Houston

• Radio One Country KKBQ (93Q)/Houston promotes from within and names Mason Pradt as its new midday host.

Houston native Pradt joined 93Q in 2014 as a promotions assistant, and has since worked his way to part-time on-air, nights and as a producer.

“Mason is a Houstonian through and through, and you can hear it every time he’s on the air,” said 93Q Program Director Travis Moon. “He talks to listeners like a neighbor, because he is one. We’re really proud of him and excited to hear middays on 93Q shine even brighter.”

“Growing up in Houston, 93Q was always one of those stations I had on the radio, so getting the opportunity to be part of it in this way is pretty surreal,” said Pradt. “I started here as a promotions assistant back in 2014, and to now have the chance to be on the air every day at a station that’s meant so much to me and to this city is incredibly special. I’m so grateful to work alongside this hardworking and talented air staff that gives so much to this station and the Houston community, and makes coming to work every day something to look forward to. A big thank you to Travis Moon, Doug Abernathy, and everyone at Radio One for believing in me and giving me this amazing opportunity!”
