J-Si Chavez Gone Hollywood
• J-Si Chavez, the longtime co-host of The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show has been tapped as the new host of YEA Networks‘ nationally syndicated The Hollywood 5, succeeding Bert Weiss. The two-hour show airs every weekend on over 60 stations across the U.S.
Chavez will continue in his role on The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show as he has for the past 12 years. Born in Mexico City and raised in San Diego, Chavez got his start at KHTS (Channel 93.3)/San Diego as the morning show’s “Man on the Street.” For four seasons, he and the rest of the Kraddick crew were also featured on FOX’s syndicated Dish Nation.
George Laughlin, President & CEO of YEA Networks, said, “We would like to thank Bert Weiss for being an excellent host. We have enjoyed his perspective and passion as we did when Kidd Kraddick launched the show eight years ago. We are looking forward to the same from J-Si as he follows in these incredible footsteps.” Chavez said, “The Hollywood 5 is a project Kidd Kraddick worked very hard on to get off the ground, and being able to keep it going with the YEA Networks family means a lot! I’m excited to take on this new role!”
