Radio One Has Major Openings
• For the past seven years, Jowcol “Boogie D” Dolby has ably served as OM of Radio One Urban AC WFUN (95.5 The Lou) and Urban WHHL (Hot 104.1)/St. Louis. In January of this year, Boogie was awarded bonus OM stripes for Urban WGPR (Hot 107.5) and Urban AC WDMK (105.9 Kiss FM)/Detroit.
RAMP has learned that Boogie (left, with his adorable daughter) will now focus 100% of his efforts on Detroit, leaving a massive opportunity available in St. Louis to replace him as OM. Radio One VP of Programming Colby “Colb” Tyner will serve as acting OM of WFUN and WHHL until the position is filled.
Colby is also looking for a PD/on-air talent for Urban WIZF (101.1 The Wiz)/Cincinnati and a nighttime personality at WCKX (Power 107.5)/Columbus, OH. That position will soon be vacated by Lil D, who is transferring to middays at Urban sister KBFB (97-9 The Beat)/Dallas.
