Charity Has Gone To The Dogs

• The Big Dave Show on Hubbard Radio Country WUBE (B105)/Cincinnati last week set what they thought was an ambitious goal for their listeners to collectively donate at least $25,000 to the Battle Buddy Foundation in order to purchase a service dog for a local veteran. The mission was simple: “One Pet; One Vet.”

We are thrilled to report that B105’s generous listeners came through in a huge way, effectively DOUBLING that goal, and raising over $50,000! This will result in two deserving veterans being rewarded with their own service dog.

Many donation incentives were aired during the week including a package from Warner Music Nashville, which donated two tickets and meet-and-greet passes for Kenny Chesney when he comes to Riverbend Music Center tomorrow night. Other incentive prizes were donated by the Cincinnati Zoo, Kings Island, the Cincinnati Reds and Rachael Ray Nutrish Dog Food, the Cincinnati Bengals, Graeter’s, Kroger, Mike’s Carwash and Panera Bread.

The Battle Buddy Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded by combat veterans and dedicated to helping their fellow vets transition back to civilian life while living with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and other combat-related disabilities.
