Blakey Takes Command Of Heaven 600/Baltimore

• iHeartMedia Baltimore has called upon company veteran Sonya Blakey to take the programming reins of Urban Gospel WCAO-AM (Heaven 600), “Baltimore’s Good News Station,” effective February 1.

Blakey will program Heaven 600 remotely from Chicago, where she has served as PD and morning show host on sister WGRB-AM (Inspiration 1390) for more than 20 years.

Blakey will report to Jeff Kapugi, Region SVP of Programming, who said, “We are fortunate to have Sonya take the lead as Program Director for Heaven 600. She is a proven leader and will guide the station to new heights!”
