St. Louis Afternoon Outlook: HaZe

• iHeartMedia Top 40 KSLZ (Z107.7)/St. Louis welcomes back market veteran Dustin “HaZe” Monroe as APD and PM drive personality.

HaZe is a long-time radio pro who attended the American Broadcasting School in Dallas and began his career at KJCK/Kansas City. Subsequent stops include KDHT (Hot 93.3)/Austin, KZCH (Channel 96.3)/Wichita and Sinclair’s late WZNR (106.1 The Zone)/Norfolk-Virginia Beach,  before joining KSLZ for the first time in 2006. HaZe later worked at WXSS (103.7 Kiss FM)/Milwaukee and WDZH (formerly 98.7 AMP Radio)/Detroit, before returning to St. Louis to work at Audacy’s KNOU (formerly Now 96.3), later crossing the hall to do afternoon drive on Hot AC KYKY (Y98) until he was laid off last July.

John Beck, Market President for iHeartMedia St. Louis & Indianapolis, commented, “HaZe is an amazing personality who electrifies every event or show that he appears in. Having held major on-air positions in St. Louis — including here at Z107.7 — Haze has a close relationship with this city and the people in it. We are so excited to welcome him back!”

HaZe exclaimed, “Wow. 18 years ago, I left the East Coast to come back to the Midwest to work at the legendary Z107.7. Since then, I’ve built a life in St. Louis and call the city my home. My son was born and raised here, I have deep relationships and I wouldn’t want to be in any other city. I’m honored to be back. It’s time to make some noise in afternoon drive again!”
