Steve McKay: Free Agent
• RAMP has confirmed that Steve McKay has exited as Brand Manager of Townsquare Media AC duo WFPG (Lite 96.9)/Atlantic City and 92.7 WOBM/Monmouth-Ocean, the latest casualty of corporate budget cuts. McKay tells RAMP, “In my 2+ years as Brand Manager, both stations saw significant growth. This truly caught me off guard.”
McKay joined Townsquare in Nov. 2022, following a four-year run as PD of Cumulus AC WTCB (B106.7) and Classic Hits WOMG/Columbia, SC after a four-year run. McKay had transferred to Columbia in August 2018 after a year as PD of Cumulus AC/Classic Rock combo WGNI & WKXS (94.5 The Hawk)/Wilmington, NC.
McKay’s extensive programming resume also includes successful stops at WPTE/Norfolk, WBHT/Wilkes Barre-Scranton, PA, and the former WEJM (Jammin’ Gold)/Philadelphia. He was also on-air at Beasley’s heritage Jersey Shore Classic Hits station, 100.1 WJRZ.
