Celebrating The Bay’s Best & Brightest

• Last Saturday, the Bay Area Radio Hall Of Fame (BARHOF) inducted its Class of 2025. Some of the distinguished inductees are pictured here — (l-r): Jeanne Marie Acceturo, Mike Smith, Lisa Carr, Brian Copeland, Cammy Blackstone, Bob Harlow, Jona Denz-Hamilton, Clark Reid, Patti Reising, and BARHOF’s Len Shapiro & David Ferrell Jackson.

And speaking of Bay Area radio legends… congrats to Sue Hall (left), whose impressive radio resume includes lengthy stints at KFRC, K101, & KMEL/San Francisco, and who currently does middays at AC KZST/Santa Rosa and weekends/fill-in on AC KOIT/San Francisco. Ms. Hall is the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Don Sherwood Award, which is voted on each year by the public to honor the most popular Bay Area on-air personalities.

The award is named in honor of the late, great Don Sherwood, who modestly billed himself as “The World’s Greatest Disc-Jockey,” and whose morning show on Golden West’s 560 KSFO/San Francisco pulled monster ratings in the ’50s and ’60s.
