Hands-On Approach To Ta-Tas

ta-tasAlpha Media Country WUBB (Bob 106.9)/Savannah‘s morning show, Tim Leary and the Morning Showgram just wrapped up their 4th Annual “Tats for Ta-Tas” breast cancer awareness program and raised over $35,000 in benefit of the Nancy N. & J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph’s/Candler. Locally the team raised $15,000, which was then matched by an anonymous foundation that donated an additional $20,000 to The National Breast Cancer Foundation! Leary (center) and his co-hosts, Claire Beverly and “Red” covered themselves in over 3,000 henna tattoos ($10 donation per tattoo) of survivor names and ran the Savannah EnMarket Bridge Run on Saturday, December 3 in their memory.

Alpha Media Market Manager Gigi South commented, “Thank you to Tim, Red, Claire and the entire BOB 106.9 team for giving their time to help end this horrible disease. Thank you to EnMarket and all the donors who contributed.” Leary remarked, “I am so overwhelmed! Especially, with this being such a tough fall for this area and for everyone to step up and show such support is something we can never say thank you enough for.”
