Byrom’s Road Leads To Music City

• It’s on to whatever is next for Hannah Byrom, who announced via Facebook that she’s leaving her morning co-host spot at Cumulus Country WCTO (Cat Country 96)/Allentown, PA and moving to Nashville to pursue new career opportunities.

“Over the last two years I’ve been fortunate to wake up my hometown every morning on Cat Country 96,” Byrom wrote. “We’ve spent our mornings laughing, sharing stories, and even navigated a global pandemic together. Because of all these great memories, it’s bittersweet to tell you that I’ve decided to leave the morning show… It has truly been an honor to fulfill my dream of working for a station that I grew up listening to. However, my heart has been calling me to chase another dream, which is to relocate to Nashville.”

Byrom returned home to the Lehigh Valley in Oct. 2019 as morning co-host on Cat Country, teaming up with existing host Sam Malone. Her major market credentials include weekends at Audacy’s WNSH and the late WPLJ/New York, and morning co-host at Beasley Country WKLB/Boston. Earlier in her career Byrom did middays at WPST/Trenton, NJ, and mornings & middays at Alpha Media Top 40 KBFF (Live 95.5)/Portland, OR. The adventure began at WAZO/Wilmington, NC.

In closing, Byrom said, “I’m unsure what the next step of my career will be, but I’m beyond excited to plant my roots in a city that I’ve loved for years… Thank you again for supporting me in my radio journey, I can’t wait to see what’s next!” Looking ahead, Byrom can be contacted at HannahGByrom@gmail.com.

• WCTO is now seeking a new co-host to plug in alongside Sam Malone. Interested candidates should check out the posting and apply online.
