Parr Exits Nash Nights Live; Smith To Host

RAMP has confirmed that Shawn Parr will exit as host of the Westwood One-syndicated NASH Nights Live on Dec. 31 at the end of his contract. Parr’s co-host Elaina Smith will continue as the show’s solo host. In a statement, a spokesperson for Cumulus Media/Westwood One told RAMP, “Shawn Parr’s last show will be December 31, 2019. Elaina Smith will continue to host NASH Nights Live.”

Smith joined the show when it launched in January 2014, making the leap from her morning co-host spot on Cumulus Top 40 WAOA/Melbourne, FL. Earlier in her career she contributed to the Dave, Shelly & Chainsaw morning show on KFMB-FM/San Diego.

RAMP reached out to Parr’s agent, radio vet Michael Bryan, now with CAA, who confirmed Parr’s departure from the show, commenting, “Shawn’s a fantastic talent and a great human. He’s open to opportunities. You’ll be able to hear his voiceover talents on the upcoming Golden Globes in January and the ACMs in April. He’s been the voice of both (as well as many other network shows for dick clark productions) for many years.” Parr has also worked at Los Angeles Country outlets at KKGO (Go Country 105) and the late KZLA. Looking ahead, Parr can be reached at theparrman@aol.com; interested parties may contact Michael Bryan at michael.m.bryan@caa.com.
