Olé! Matador Expands

Matador Records is excited to announce new hires and promotions for its New York and London offices — in New York, Rian Fossett has been promoted from label Coordinator to Director of Marketing and will now oversee global marketing campaigns for all Matador releases, working closely with the Beggars Group worldwide marketing departments. Malcolm Donaldson, formerly of Captured Tracks, replaces Fossett as Label Coordinator.

Also new to the New York office — Ruby Hoffman and Emma Buchanan have been named as A&R Coordinators. Hoffman was previously a scout for 4AD Records, with past experience in music publicity. Buchanan has interned at Sub Pop and Ba-Da-Bing Records and has written for many online music publications. They will both report to Matador co-owners, Gerard Cosloy, Chris Lombardi and Patrick Amory.

Matador’s London staff increased to three people in early 2017 with the hires of Josh Turner and Noam Klar, joining GM Natalie Judge. Initially hired as Label Coordinator, Turner has been promoted to Product Manager/Label Coordinator, taking on global product management duties. Klar is now Director of Publicity in the U.K., working hand-in-hand with international territories and with Shira Knishkowy, Director of Publicity in the U.S., to develop global publicity campaigns.
