Slow Jams Hits Mythical ‘Buck Fifty’ Mark
• Benztown’s internationally syndicated hit weekend show Sunday Night Slow Jams has now expanded to 150 total affiliates worldwide with the addition of KNEX-FM/Laredo, TX.
R Dub!, the creator, host and Producer of Sunday Night Slow Jams, said, “It seems like yesterday, when I approached my PD at that little AM radio station in the desert with the concept for Sunday Night Slow Jams. I was only 17 years old and a junior in high school. He said yes, and the journey began. Not a day goes by that I don’t pinch myself, grateful that my little labor of love can now be heard on 150 radio stations in 14 countries.” Along with his work on Sunday Night Slow Jams, R Dub! is also Director of Programming for XHTZ (Z90) and XHRM (Magic 92.5)/San Diego and President of the Slow Jams 4 Kids clean water initiative.
