Pilat Named Pres./Music, Invisible Narratives
• Invisible Narratives has expanded its footprint in the entertainment space with the hire of former Apple Music exec and radio programmer Julie Pilat as President of Music.
Founded by Adam Goodman, the former President of Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks SKG, Invisible Narratives is described as a “tradigital” company at the intersection of the creator economy, the crypto economy and the entertainment business. Invisible Narratives is blending the best of the traditional business, cinematic and windowing into dynamic, digital-first environments.
As the newly named President of Music, Pilat (left) reports directly to Goodman (right) and is charged with developing new partnerships across the music industry, creatively empowering musicians and fans, using storytelling and technology to monetize video content across fandoms.
“Julie brings an unparalleled knowledge of the music industry and fan communities to Invisible Narratives,” says Goodman, who greenlit Katy Perry: Part Of Me and Justin Bieber Never Say Never while at Paramount. “We’ve already seen the power of fan identity, especially with FaZe Clan Crimson and now we’re creating opportunities for creatives across the board — musicians, YouTubers, Tik Tokkers, looking to harness unseen revenues and connect with fan communities; there’s some very exciting things around the corner.”
“Working with Adam and the incredible team at Invisible Narratives will allow me to continue championing creatives around the world,” said Pilat, whose notably served as PD of KYSR (ALT 98.7) and APD/MD of KIIS-FM/Los Angeles until July 2013, when she was named Head of Music, Curation & Artist Development at Beats Music (later Apple Music). “Artists and fans want deep, nimble experiences,” Pilat continued. “We’re working with partners across the entertainment business, to create new opportunities at scale and effectively monetize video content… artists know what they want and we want to bring their ideas to life.”
