NAB Inks Three New Board Members
• The NAB has appointed three new broadcast executives to its Boards of Directors — Catherine Badalamente, President & CEO of Graham Media Group, and Phil Tahtakran, SVP, Head of Federal Government Affairs for NBCUniversal, have been appointed to the NAB Television Board of Directors, and Kevin Godwin, SVP of Townsquare Media, was appointed to the NAB Radio Board of Directors. The appointments were made by NAB TV Board Chair Perry Sook and NAB Radio Board Chair Bill Wilson, respectively, in accordance with NAB bylaws.
Badalamente (left) oversees Graham’s broadcast TV stations in seven local media hubs representing just under 7% of the U.S. She also oversees Graham Digital and Social News Desk. Badalamente is chair of the Board of Directors of the Local Media Association, serves as treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Local Media Foundation and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Women in Media. She was the recipient of the Digital Leadership Award from NAB in 2017.
Tahtakran (center) leads NBCUniversal’s federal government affairs team and represents the company before Congress and the Administration on legislative priorities and other policy issues impacting the company. Tahtakran serves as NBCUniversal’s representative in various trade associations and coalitions focused on entertainment, broadcasting, telecom and travel policy issues.
Godwin (right) oversees operations, business development and performance for Townsquare Media’s West Region. He previously was SVP of Peak Broadcasting, which Townsquare Media acquired in November of 2013. He previously worked for Citadel Communications from 1994 to 2007.
